With a B.S. in business and 20 years experience building and renovating beautiful homes, Eliot is the engine behind West Mountain Builders. Eliot offers broad knowledge, honest advice and is well-known for being patient and easy to work with! Eliot will collaborate with you, your architect and designer to create sensible budgets and schedules and most importantly, work with you to translate your ideas into an actionable plan that works in both design and practice.
After establishing a career as a designer and artist, Stephanie spent several years raising the couple's three sons. She joined West Mountain in 2014 bringing an eye for design and organization. Eliot and Stephanie work out of offices at 30 West Mountain Road on property that has been in the Johnson family since 1941, and in operation as a family-owned general contracting company since 1978. The Johnsons have been members of the Washington community for 75 years and that spirit of longevity endures with the fourth generation of Johnsons (our three sons!) growing up in town. Eliot and Stephanie are business partners, parents and contributing members of the community. Both are active PTO members, board members of the Washington Art Association and Eliot also serves as the stewardship chairman for The Steep Rock Association and is a board member of the Washington Business Association.
