Started in 1976 by Walter Johnson III, West Mountain Builders was taken over and expanded by his son, Eliot Johnson in 2002. With a B.S. in business and 15 years experience building and renovating beautiful homes, Eliot carries on the West Mountain tradition of offering honest, high-quality construction and renovation services to the local area.
West Mountain is powered by a reliable group of experienced carpenters — many of whom have been working together for decades. The business operates out of offices at 30 West Mountain Road, on property that has been in the family since 1941. The Johnsons have been active, respected members of the community for 75 years. That spirit of longevity endures with the fourth generation of Johnsons (Eliot’s three sons) growing up in Washington, and his contribution to the boards of the Washington Art Association, Steep Rock Foundation & and Washington Housing Trust.
